About Colorado
Situated in the Midwest of the United States of America, the Colorado state presents one of the most spectacular landscape, encompassing most of the Southern Rocky Mountains, the Nordic part of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains.
Also known as the “Centennial State”, Colorado is bordered by Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Utah. Colorado has a population of 5,024,748 “Coloradans”, it is devided into 64 counties including 271 municipalities, with the capital in Denver.
Colorado forms together with Arizona, New Mexico and Utah a common geographic area called the Four Corners and if you arrive at the point where all these states meet, you will find yourself in four states in the same time.
Everything about this state is picturesque, amazing, breath taking and this is why Colorado attracts each year many tourists. Colorado is a paradise for travelers in search of adventure, offering the perfect ground for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, rafting or just admiring the beauty of wildlife.
Considering that Colorado is home of 30 major summits of the Rocky Mountains and that it displays 41 national wilderness areas and many other natural parks, it is no doubt that it is the preferred vacation destination for many tourists eager to explore.
